Ambulance Services On September 1, 2001, the County of Lanark assumed the responsibility for the provision of land ambulance services throughout its geographic area. The Almonte General Hospital provides the administrative, operational functions associated with the delivery of this service.
The County’s land ambulance service strives to provide rapid response to emergencies and a high level of pre-hospital care, meeting standards outlined in provincial legislation and regulations. Efforts to build partnerships with other emergency medical service and health-care providers, as well as to adapt to changing demographic and health-care demands and to improve the performance of the land ambulance system serving Lanark County, is one of the Lanark County Ambulance Service main goals.
The Lanark County Ambulance Service operates from four bases:
Perth, GWM Hospital Smiths Falls, Maple Avenue
Carleton Place Almonte General Hospital & District Hospital
