We understand this is a difficult time for everyone and want to assure you that our staff are here for you and will ensure that your basic needs are met. Your April monthly payment for Ontario Works recipients will go out as usual. Our staff have been planning for emergency measures to ensure that the basic needs of our community are met. Our offices are restricted for walk in traffic to emergency situations only so please do not visit our office but rather call between 8:30-4 at 613-267-4200 or toll free 1-888-952-6275 and someone will be happy to assist you. Social Services Relief Fund
The Province of Ontario has provided relief funding in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With its allocation, Lanark County has set up an emergency rent/mortgage bank to assist County residents who are behind in their rent/mortgage and are at risk of being evicted or losing their home.
