How do I reach the In-Charge RN?

After calling the home’s number, (613)267-4225, and hearing the voice mail prompt, dial '0'.

How do I seek admission to Lanark Lodge?

The Placement Coordination Service of the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Access Centre for Community Care provides an information and referral service to nursing homes, homes for the aged and complex continuing care. Call (613)283-8012 or 1-800-267-6041, or go to their website at www.llg.ccac-ont.ca.

What are the accommodation costs?

See the Accommodation Rates link for information.

What if I cannot afford semi-private or private rates – will you switch me to a basic room?

Any newly admitted resident is not eligible for a change of accommodation level for the first year of residency. The reason for this is that for Lanark Lodge there are shorter waiting periods for private and semi-private rooms. Therefore, to allow early movement could result in the potential for manipulating an earlier admission. However, after one year, application in writing can be made asking for a lower accommodation level, and the resident is placed on a waiting list.

I would like to have a tour of the building. How do I arrange this?

For a tour, call the Client Services Managerat (613)267-4225 x7501.

How can I navigate your voice mail system?

Lanark Lodge has recently replaced its telephone system.  The initial greeting message provides you with contact names and extensions- we ask that you listen to these to better direct your call.  If you press "0" you will be connected with the receptionist or the charge nurse after hours who may assist you.

What about furnishings – what can I bring with me?

We encourage residents to bring some furnishings if they wish – however, depending on the size of the room you move into there are limitations. The rule, generally, as rooms vary in shape and size, is that staff must be able to safely use any lifts and room to assist transfers, and residents must be able to manage their walker or wheelchair comfortably and safely. Lanark Lodge provides all beds and has a multi-year capital program to increase the number of electric beds.
