The Finance Department has been working on the following Projects & Reports:

• Ontario Recipient of the Diamond Software Award of Overall Excellence for Innovation and Business Analytics for the new financial/human resources system (Microsoft Great Plains and WorkTech)
• Re-engineered and centralized all financial processes and functions in 2004 to improve delivery of services
• Trained management and administrative staff on financial procedures and Microsoft Great Plains
• Implemented new accounts payable and receivable procedures
• Coordinated 2004 and 2005 budget process for all departments – passed budget one month earlier than in 2003
• Met all requirements of the provincial government prior to deadlines
• Worked with information technology on new leasing policy for hardware
• Consistently achieved clean audit opinion on consolidated financial statements for corporation
